Did you know that Seattle has a lot of festivals?

July 12th&13th are " Dragon days".

I was in luck, because I was felling homesick around that time.

I decide to visit it and walked around the night market they hosted.

Then I did

and then...

It's weird to me.

But I don't think that she really knew what the word means...

And just likethey do during our new years ,they displayed  words that have good meanings.

I went to a museum about Nordiac countries

Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

Just like its name

it's all about people of  Nordic countries.

Actually,It helped me know more about Nordic culture

When I was little I was really bad at my history.

But that's enough today.

There are many more stories than I can possibly write down.

Hope you guy enjoy the photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of weeks ago,I got this invitation letter.

So I checked it out and found out that it was a meeting about hoew to popularize Taiwan culture in Seattle.

But I didn't understand why I was invited to go ?

The director of Taipei office in Seattle had invited me ,he want me to share my plan with them.

I told myself: Great !I can tell more people about my plan!

So I just said yes ,I'd go!

That day,I arrived  fifteen minutes before it was supossed to begin.

I wanted to ask who would be there to listen to my speak,I really had no idea.

The host told me that nearly twenty people would be there, and all of them had been living in Seattle for some time already

Some of them were businessman , others were the presidents of Taiwan business in Seattle.

At any rate ,I would be the youngest person here.

Great ,that stress me out a little!

Then the meeting was starting!

The host sat behind all of us.

From left to right is

Miss. Chen Mei-jun, Director general Andy Chin, Director Ted T.C Hsueh.

And my seat is the first row on the right side.

Andy mentioned me right at the beginning.

After he introduced me it's time for me to share my plan!

IMG_5034

Actually, I forget how many times I've had to stand in front of people and share my plan!

The weird thing was I thought I would be nervous when the timecame.

But after few minutes later I felt more comfortable and

I was relaxed as I was talkd to them.

I finished perfectly to applause.

As I was leaving the conference I heard someone call my name.

She was one of the guests of the conference.

Her name is Dear,it's easy to remember!

We had a good conversation about environment ,and althout she is from Holland, she made me see Seattle differently

Then, the one other person asked for my business card.

His last name is Chow ,I just call him Mr.Chow.

He also talked with me for a couple of hours.

He 's been living in Seattle for twenty years.

I'd learned a lot Seattle's history from him!

This conferernce was a meaningful experience for me.I made some contacts and found some resources.

Anyway ,I believe I’ll have more experiences like this!

Cause I saw the different self  reflected from those eyes of the elders.

Keep going!

Max!
